34th Winter IHC Collectors Winter Convention Schedule of Tours

Thursday 3/19/26-Billy Graham Library

Built on the same property as the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, right off of Billy Graham Parkway in Charlotte, N.C., the Library is organized around the themes of “The Man,” “The Message,” “The Ministry,” and “The Mission” with the message being pre-eminent: the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The ministry is taking that message to the ends of the earth. The Journey of Faith focuses on what God did in the life of a young farm boy who grew up in rural North Carolina, committed his life to Jesus Christ at a local revival and, through God’s grace manifested in him, became what many consider “America’s pastor” and evangelist to the world.

The tour will include transport to and from The Billy Graham Library with a guided 2-hour tour. Lunch can be purchased at the Library’s Dairy B as cost for the meal is not included in the tour fee. Bus will Load 8:30 am at the front of the conference center. Depart 9:00 am: Arrive 11:00am at the Billy Graham Library. You will have 3.5 hours to participate in the tour and eat. The bus will load at 2:30 pm to depart by 3:00 pm and return for Clemmons, NC by 5:00 pm.

Friday 3/20/26-Childress Vineyard and Richard Childress Racing Museum

On Friday the Vineyard/RCR Museum Shuttle (operating during the day) will take you to Childress Vineyards and the Richard Childress Race Museum. The fee for vineyard tour includes transportation, the gift shop and a private winery tour. You will have the opportunity to buy lunch on site and can participate in wine tasting events based on your choice with payment directly to the Vineyard during your tour. Shuttle will run between the convention and Childress Vineyard 4 times during the day.

Childress Vineyard opened in 2004 when NASCAR team owner Richard Childress fulfilled a longtime dream that grew from the days when he first began racing in California and visited wineries with friends. Richard chose farmland in Lexington, NC located less than five miles from his Richard Childress Racing operations. The location situated Childress Vineyards as the gateway to the Yadkin Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA), North Carolina’s first federally designated region for grape growing. Childress Vineyards is one of the most prominent wineries in the state’s re-emerging wine industry that has grown from 21 to more than 100 wineries since the year 2000.

The fee for the race shop tour includes transportation and a guided tour of the RCR Museum. The tour takes visitors through a journey that includes team owner Richard Childress’ earliest days as a NASCAR driver, the championship-winning years with Dale Earnhardt and the No. 3 team, the evolution and success of the team after Earnhardt’s untimely passing, and Childress’ passion for the outdoors. Based in the 47,000-square foot shop that was home to Earnhardt’s No. 3 team for many years, visitors have the opportunity to step back in time to see race cars and other artifacts that have contributed to some of the most iconic moments in NASCAR history.

Saturday 3/21/26-Andy Griffith and Mayberry Tour

The tour will include transport to and from The Andy Griffith Museum and a casual day in Mt. Airy. Lunch is your choice of downtown restaurants which include Snappy Lunch. The Andy Griffith Museum is a place both for learning about and celebrating Andy Griffith, who was born in Mount Airy in 1926. Home of the single largest collection of artifacts and memorabilia related to Andy Griffith, the museum features hundreds of items from Andy’s life and his career in theater, film, and music. Highlights of the collection include actual props, wardrobe, and other artifacts from The Andy Griffith Show and Matlock that were donated by Cindi and Andy Griffith, members of the casts and crews, and other individuals and organizations.

Bus will Load 8:30 am at the front of the conference center. Depart 9:00 am: Arrive 10:00 am at Mt. Airy Andy Griffith Museum. You will have 4.5 hours to attend Mt. Airy Andy Griffith Museum and eat before its time to load the bus at 2:00 pm to depart by 2:30 pm and return for Clemmons, NC by 3:30 pm. Lunch is available at Snappy Lunch and cost is not included in tour cost.

Saturday 3/21/26-Farm Tours

Friendship Farms in Lexington, NC, is a family farm operated by Joe, Jerry, and Parker Bryant. They grow corn, soybeans, and wheat. The brothers farm with an extensive collection of International Harvester and CaseIH machinery that is impressive to see. The farm is known for using Environmentally Smart Nitrogen (ESN) and achieving high yields. Specifically, they’ve been recognized for record-breaking corn yields in North Carolina. The farm is located at 1027 Marshall Byerly Rd, Lexington, NC 27295.

Windmill Acres in Winston-Salem, NC is a family farm owned by the Fishel ‘s. Neil Fishel and his family have amassed a diverse collection of International Harvester machinery and affiliated materials, signage, basically anything IH. The Fishel family have sponsored the Windmill Acres Farm Toy show for 17 years and raise prize Polled Hereford Cattle. The farm is located at 1522 Jasper Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 Shuttles are available for transport on Saturday to both private collections.
